Playing with color

Playing with color

It was used in Schindlers list to distinguish the little girl.

Non-destructive dodge and burn using a Grey Layer

I created a Tutorial on a way to apply dodge and burn to a photo without making the changes permanent. The dodge and burn effects are applied on layers which can be edited without ruining the integrity of the base layer.

Intrigued by Black & White

At the moment i am intrigued by the Art of black and white photography. Things seem simple in black and white. This book is an interesting read on Creative Camera, Dark Room and Printing techniques for the Modern Photographer. The photoshop techniques inside were quite interesting to read. I will no doubt play with a few in my own works and see how they turn out.

I created this image for my own entertainment from this photo i took. You can see the difference it made.

Sticky Tape

This is a good little tutorial (Photoshop Atoms) on making sticky tape to put on designs. Fairly easy and quite fun to make.

Pencils

Just playing around with a different technique. This was just simple duplicate layer and desaturate, then with a bit of deleting.

Pen and colored Wash Photograph

Another interesting effect.

Combined Snapshot

This is a cool little technique that i enjoyed doing from the book "Top 100 Simplified Tips & Tricks for Adobe Photoshop CS3".
Playing around with a few filters could make for a really good looking photograph. As you can see on the left, i played with a blue filter which brightened up the sky.

A sketched look

What do you think? Does it look sketched???
